UofA Announces Aftermarket Standards Course

The University of the Aftermarket at Northwood University has released Aftermarket Data Standards, a course designed to empower industry professionals to boost their data management proficiency. The course is suited for those who have completed the Auto Care Academy Introduction to ACES and PIES course and are eager to expand their expertise in aftermarket data standards.

The two-day, in-person program, developed for aftermarket catalog managers and product information professionals, explores industry data standards, focusing on ACES and PIES. Participants will gain valuable insights into utilizing the Auto Care data standards effectively in their daily operations.

Course Description:

Students who attend this program will learn how to identify important digital content for products. They will become familiar with the Auto Care Association’s ACES and PIES data standards and their supporting reference databases. The program will be taught by two content and catalog experts from the Auto Care Association: David Logan, director, digital products, and Tom Schiavo, manager, data quality.

This educational program is ideal for Catalog Managers, Content Managers, Category Managers, Product Data Specialists or any professionals involved with aftermarket standards ACES and PIES. Students will gain working foundational knowledge of the aftermarket data standards and practice firsthand how to use the relevant databases to create an ACES file and PIES file.
