There was a whole lotta consolidation in the collision repair industry in 2024! The buying and selling action was pretty hot — and insiders say 2025 will be even hotter!

Here are the top 10 consolidation stories of 2024 based on traffic measured by Google Analytics:

  1. Classic Collision Acquires Two New Locations in Virginia and Florida. Classic Collision announced the acquisitions of Knox Automotive Center in Carrollton, Va., and Serrano Paint & Body in Jacksonville, Fla.
  2. Classic Collision Acquires Seven Locations in North Carolina. Classic Collision announced the acquisition of Absolute Collision Center, a regional MSO based in North Carolina that, for 50 years, supported the cities of Charlotte, Hampstead, Forest City, Leland, Shelby and Wilmington.
  3. Joe Hudson’s Announces Acquisition of Six New Locations. Joe Hudson’s Collision Center announced the acquisition of six new locations, including five Precision Hail and Collision locations across Texas and Patton Brothers Body and Frame in Athens, Ga.
  4. Kinderhook Acquires Kaizen Collision. Kinderhook Industries announced the acquisition of Kaizen Auto Care, a leading regional collision repair provider with significant presence in key markets across the western U.S.
  5. Feldman Automotive Group Expands in Southeast Michigan. Feldman Automotive Group announced that it acquired Chrysler Jeep of Livonia, a 37,000-square-foot full-service dealership that includes an auto body shop and 20 bays.
  6. Bosch Auto Service Announces 15-Shop Agreement for Oklahoma. Bosch Automotive Workshop Services announced a new development rights agreement with Larry Battison, co-founder of Global Dealer Services, to open 15 new Bosch Auto Service Franchise locations in Oklahoma over the next four years, featuring ADAS and EV equipment.
  7. Longtime Family Collision Repair Business Joins Forces with CARSTAR. CARSTAR announced that JC Auto Rebuilders of Rockford, Ill., joined the CARSTAR family, rebranding as CARSTAR Team JC Auto Rebuilders
  8. Joe Hudson’s Acquires Five New Collision Facilities. Joe Hudson’s Collision Center announced the acquisition of five new collision repair facilities: First Class Collision in Grove, Okla.; Advanced Auto Body Frame and Glass in Bolivar, Mo.; Jim Morey Auto Body in Bella Vista, Ark.; Brooks Body Shop in Tifton, Ga.; and Port City Auto Body in Brunswick, Ga.
  9. Puget Collision MSO Group Reaches Over 50 Stores. This news announcement detailed how Joe Morella, now CEO of Puget Collision, started out as an estimator many years ago and never pictured the path he has taken in the collision repair industry to become the owner of over 50 CARSTAR and Fix Auto USA locations in Colorado, Washington, Oregon and California.
  10. Classic Collision Opens First Location in Mississippi. Classic Collision announced the acquisition of Milestone Collision & Glass in Nesbit, Miss.
